曾经创下韩国独立电影最高观影人次纪录的纪录片《牛铃之声》的导演李忠烈时隔八年再执导筒，其将于安圣基、李贞贤共同创作一部聚焦韩国无形文化遗产的剧情片《蝉鸣》。 　　《蝉鸣》讲述了全罗南道珍岛上的“多侍乐”表演者们身上发生的故事。“多侍乐”发源于全罗南道珍岛，指的是出丧前一天晚上在丧者家中进行的表达哀伤、给予生者抚慰的歌舞活动，1985年被列为韩国国家第81号无形文化遗产。安圣基将在片中饰演一位“多侍乐”表演者，李贞贤将饰演安圣基的女儿。 　　《蝉鸣》的剧本创作已全部完成，因为影片背景设定在春天，所以要等到明年3月再开机。安圣基此前曾在六月的一次专访中表达了对该片的期待之情，“我要说全罗道方言，还要唱歌，要做许多准备。这应该是一部用质量说话的电影。”

影片讲述拥有一双明眸的朱芷欣（吴千语 饰），却有一对失明父母：甘笑红（惠英红 饰）、朱国强（吴岱融 饰）。乖巧懂事的她从小便成为父母的“眼睛”，为父母描绘世间的形状与颜色。随着女孩青春期的到来，热爱绘画并天赋异禀的她渴望到国外攻读艺术，观念的冲突、频繁的争吵使家庭气氛降到了冰点。在机会来临之际，芷欣将会在家庭和梦想之间作何选择？

Follows Helen and her daughter Lauren, who go on a trip to an isolated cabin in the cold north and meet a hitchhiker who actually is a thief trying to evade a cold-blooded killer, and now Helen and Lauren are on the murderer's radar too.
